Obama Wins, New Treasury Secretary, Making Your Own Success

Obama Wins Historic Election, Now What?

No question this was a historic election on many counts. However, the big question looms: We are beyond the campaign promises, now what do we really get? This was a campaign filled with a boat-load of promises, walking into a fist full of problems. I hope the “Hope” American’s elected delivers the hope we expected–we will certainly get change.

Handicapping the New Treasury Secretary

We have already jumped into the Cabinet guessing game. Dealbreaker is looking at the pundits’ Obama Treasury shortlist. But, for some real fun play the Portfolio.com Treasury Secretary Brackets.

Exactly right! We are responsible for creating our own success.

The best part of it all being over is that now the landscape is coming into focus. Give a half-way decent American business person some solid intelligence about the environment they’re competing in and more often than not, they’ll hit the ground running.

I’m sure conference rooms around the country are busy this morning as plans start to come together for the new year. It may be a bit more difficult for those of us working in the home finance center as there are more moving pieces that have to be put into play, but at least we have a direction now.

Keep up the good work, Bill, and best wishes for success all around.

    Rick,

    Thanks for the comment.

Todd Carpenter gets so many things right in this mortgage and real estate arena.

We have gotten way to focused on who to blame if we fail. Instead of how to learn from failures and make the next attempt a raging success.

Imagine if Reagan had blamed Ford for his defeat in his first Presidential attempt?
